Inexperienced vampire hunters establish a hunting lodge in the American Colonies.

SYNOPSIS:

ACT 1FRANCIS SPENCER (30s) is the worst vampire hunter in all of England and a disappointment to his

father IGNATIUS, master of their lodge, the Benevolent, Protective Order of Nimrods. This fraternal

brotherhood exists to eradicate the threat of vampires in Europe. Ignatius is getting older, and sickly.

After Francis botches a hunt that leads to the death of many hunters, Francis is sent abroad to investigate

the rise of vampirism in the colonies. Joining him is MALAKAS, an African tribal hunter and Francis'

polar opposite in every way. Francis has big ideas to revolutionize the lodge, which is stuck in the past.

ACT 2Old superstitions follow them to the New World, and most of the town thinks this 'vampire-hunting'

business is a joke, except LENA PROCTOR (30s), a modern-thinking woman in a backward-thinking

world, their first apprentice. Francis is gobsmacked by Lena and tries to woo her as the show goes on.

Posing as apothecaries, Francis, Lena, and Malakas are called to the home of PRIMROSE (20s) as she

lies dying from a vampire bite. After Primrose's death, they wait in the graveyard for her to rise from the

dead . . . so they can kill her all over again. This will be their first hunt since landing and Lena's first test.

ACT 3As expected, Primrose rises but seems confused, not at all a bloodthirsty monster, our first indication that

vampires, like people, aren't all bad. Lena jumps the gun, overeager, and Primrose gets away.

Primrose returns home but finds no warm welcome. She is taken in by EMMELINE WATTS, a local

tavern owner that is also a vampire. Emmeline hides in plain sight and can teach Primrose to do the same.

To find Primrose, our hunters will need a tracker that knows this area, just like HUNTS THEM AND

KILLS THEM, a Tuscarora scout that has heard about their lodge and is interested in joining.

In the TAG we learn that Ignatius formed an alliance with a very old vampire, SAMARA, offering her

safe passage to the new world in exchange for immortality. Such a hypocrite.
