In a near-future where criminals can serve their sentences by aging their bodies, a desperate 53-year-old man chooses to age 24 years overnight for a deadly hit and run that took out a man’s family. Now he must protect his family from the vengeful, younger survivor with his now frail, 77-year-old body.

SYNOPSIS:

BILL CARDY (53), a pharmaceutical executive in debt and having just interviewed for a big promotion, races home to his loving family when he accidentally hits TYLER DATLOW (28) sending their sedan into oncoming traffic and killing Tyler's wife and daughter. Bill, anxious to avoid anything that would stop his promotion and so races away. But he's caught and arrested. And his wife TISH (49), daughter CRICKET (17) and son DANNY (12) are all stunned.

When Bill goes in for his sentencing for manslaughter due to negligent driving, he learns of a new option being offered: he can take the prison time and get out early for good behavior OR he can have his bodied aged in a new, high tech AGE ACCELERATOR, for the full amount of time he could have served. And can be freed the next day. Bill, wishing to spend time with his kids before they go off to college, jumps at the so-called Rip Van Winkle option. The maximum sentence for this crime would be 24 years (ten years for each lost life and four years for leaving the scene). Tyler hears of Bill “aging out” and goes into a rage! Bill's body will be aged but he will be free in 24 hours! Tyler demands justice.

Bill submits himself to the Accelerator Chamber. After ten minutes of intense aging, he comes out, no longer the vigorous fifty-something tough guy but now a frail, old man. His joints ache, his bones crack. His family meets him and they are shocked. His wife can hardly look at her husband.

Bill and his family make adjustments at home. Meanwhile, Tyler vows revenge. He stalks Bill's family and confronts Bill on a family outing at the beach. Then Tyler purchases a gun. While this is going on Bill agrees to have his transition into senior life filmed for a reality show.

Tyler's fury grows and finally results in an explosive man to man fight at Bill's house. Bill manages to defend his family despite his frail body and forgetful brain. Arrested and sentenced, Tyler, hoping he can also use the Rip Van Winkle option has that hope destroyed when his maximum sentence is revealed to be life.
