When her boss endures a head injury that makes him behave like a baby, a peppy executive assistant must help ensure he’s still able to take over his family’s company. His tantrums are secretly recorded and put on Tiktok, inspiring a bunch of copycats and creating a world full of adult babies.

SYNOPSIS:

CRICKET writes in her diary, as her dad, WILLIAM, reminds her that she has to leave for her boss’ birthday party. PROTESTORS rally outside the WINTERS mansion during Cricket’s boss, SHELBY’s, 35th birthday. Celebrating with him are his dad, MALCOLM, mom, MARIE, fiancée, JASMINE, and butler, WITHERSPOON. Cricket arrives and gifts him a pen set. Shelby wants to take over the company, but Malcolm wants him to think outside the box, believing him to be too stodgy. Malcolm tells him that if he can come up with a new successful video game in two weeks, he’ll hand the company over to him. If not, he will hand the company over to his cousin, DARVIN. Shelby storms off. Cricket consoles him. Cricket offers to help him. He agrees. Jasmine brings him back to the party.

The next day, William insists that Cricket find a husband. She wants to focus on her career. Cricket works with Shelby. She pitches an idea for a game “Farmer’s Daughter”. Shelby angrily turns it down. He slips and hits his head. They go to a hospital where DOCTOR TURLEY says the head injury has made him act like a toddler named BABY. Witherspoon and Cricket say they’ll take care of him. They go home, and Baby soils himself. Annoyed, Jasmine leaves. Witherspoon cleans up Baby and puts him in a diaper. Baby wants to play with toys. Witherspoon brings him to the toy store. He demands that the owner, TOM, let him play with a train set in the store. KAI comes over and tells him it’s his birthday, but his dad isn’t wealthy and is only getting him a kite. Baby demands that Witherspoon buy Kai whatever he wants. Baby goes home with his toys. At dinner, Cricket tells Malcolm that she and Baby were working on ideas before his injury. She asks Malcolm to let her bring Baby into work for the emergency meeting tomorrow. He agrees. Witherspoon potty trains Baby. Cricket writes in her diary that she is going to try to get Baby to snap out of it. At the conference room, Malcolm tells everyone the deal. Cricket arrives with Baby. Cricket asks Malcolm to stick to the two-week ultimatum. To Darvin’s chagrin, he agrees. Darvin takes a video of Baby having an outburst.

At home, Baby annoys Jasmine and she leaves. Cricket tells him they need to work, but he wants to play first. They spend all day playing and doing what he wants. That night, Cricket puts Baby to bed. He sleep-talks as Shelby, and tells Cricket to keep going. Cricket tells William that she saw the old Shelby in him. He tries to set her up with the WAITER, but she denies him.

In a conference room, Baby, Cricket, LARRY, FRANCIS, HANK, MATTHEW, and other execs all play childhood games and brainstorm. Darvin shows Jasmine the video of Baby that he wants to leak. They are romantically involved. Protestor’s see the video and rally behind Baby, thinking he is protesting his dad in the video.

Days later, Baby and Cricket talk about Farmer’s Daughter. Baby has an idea to make it in a post-apocalyptic setting. Cricket likes the idea. He has an idea called Eddie Dolphinhead that Matthew mocks up. The execs take Baby out to get drunk. Later, Cricket goes to pick him up and brings him home. Baby tells Cricket he loves her. At home, Cricket gets annoyed at William when he tells her to take advantage of this opportunity. She has a dream that Baby reverts back to Shelby and kisses him. William and Cricket watch footage of reporters talking to protestors who have rallied around Baby’s persona. Witherspoon helps Baby go to the bathroom. Cricket talks to the protesters outside, and they show her that celebrities are rallying around Baby.

Cricket tries to get Baby ready for the presentation the next day. Baby throws a tantrum because Cricket won’t play with him. Jasmine thinks that Cricket is trying to move in on Baby, and punches her. Marie and Malcolm kick her out, telling her she’s not going to marry Baby. She leaves. Malcolm wants to institutionalize Baby, but Cricket begs Malcolm to let her still present tomorrow. Baby overhears and runs away. SECURITY tries to stop him, but Protesters assist him and follow him through the city. Cricket and the execs go after him. In Hollywood, celebrities rally around Baby. Cricket and the others take the helicopter downtown to get Baby. They save him, but a brick hits him in the head.

He goes back to see Dr. Turley. Malcolm wants to cancel the presentation, but Marie insists that he let Cricket do it alone. Cricket works at home. The next day, Baby has reverted back to Shelby. He rushes to the office. PETERS, his driver, informs him of all that has happened. Cricket makes the presentation for Farmer’s Daughter and Eddie Dolphinhead, and Shelby walks in. He says he can remember everything that happened. Malcolm hands the company over to him. Shelby makes Cricket co-CEO. Six months later, Shelby and Cricket get married.
