SYNOPSIS:

In a quirky, snow-blanketed town of Cottonville, eighty

miles from nowhere, Christmas lights and velvet curtains

hide more pain than joy. SheriffJohn and an aspiring

writer, Joanna, have a very passionate, eccentric marriage

that suffers under the weight of unspoken wounds.

When John rescues Fukumi, a naïve Japanese witch, from a

fire and sweeps her off her feet, her reckless dabbling in

magic accidentally unleashes an ancient Japanese Demon

that plunges the town into mayhem.

Redback spiders spread through the town, possessing

the people by latching on to their deepest wounds and

turning them into their darkest, unhinged versions of

themselves. Jo's unresolved grief and unrecognized

strength make her the perfect vessel for Jorogumo, the

Queen of the spiders.

As Cottonville descends into absurd, terrifying chaos, John

must rally a ragtag group of unlikely heroes to confront

their own demons before facing the real one.

The battle culminates in a wild, scary and absurd

showdown where Jo is confronted with a choice: remain a

monster or reclaim herself.
