THE LAST LIFE OF SIMON FLYNN

THE LAST LIFE OF SIMON FLYNN
By Amir Fatykhov

GENRE: Mystery, Drama
LOGLINE:

After surviving a deadly ambush in Afghanistan thanks to the guidance of a mysterious hermit, a reclusive Londoner with extraordinary abilities is forced into the spotlight when a journalist exposes him — triggering a path that leads him to a remote Swiss town, where an ancient brotherhood recognizes him as someone far older and far more powerful than Simon Flynn ever believed himself to be.

SYNOPSIS:

Simon Flynn lives a quiet, deliberate life in London, hiding both his past and the strange abilities he barely understands. Years earlier, while working abroad, Simon and his colleagues were ambushed in the mountains of Afghanistan. Crushed in a wrecked car and left for dead, he was rescued by an elderly hermit named Taher, who revealed fragments of a forgotten knowledge — teaching Simon to reach beyond the visible world, awakening abilities that later brought him home alive… but not unchanged.

In the present day, Simon avoids attention, but his anonymity ends when journalist Julia Carrington publishes a human-interest article about a long-missing British man — unaware she has just exposed him. Furious, Simon confronts her, but the meeting takes a surprising turn: Julia is curious, intelligent, and unexpectedly trustworthy. Despite his instincts, Simon lets her into his life.

When a violent political crisis erupts in France, Simon and Julia flee together, traveling across Europe. Their journey leads them into the remote Swiss town, a deceptively peaceful place where snow-covered streets hide ancient secrets. Simon senses danger immediately — hidden eyes, familiar patterns, the unmistakable pull of something old.

Inside the town’s mountain chapel, Simon is confronted by a clandestine order of mystics. They do not see him as Simon Flynn. They call him Ianess — one of two legendary brothers who once defied Moses in ancient Egypt. They believe he has returned to lead them again.

Simon denies them, horrified by how far they’ve twisted the teachings he abandoned thousands of years ago. Their rituals, their power, their wealth — all corrupted. And now Julia is caught in the middle.

As the brotherhood closes in, alliances fracture. Simon must face both the truth of who he was and the responsibility of who he is now. For the first time in centuries, he is not alone — and what he does next will determine whether the world meets Ianess the magician… or Simon Flynn, the man who finally breaks the cycle of violence that has followed him across lifetimes.
