Unknown character actor awakes to find Robert Duvall standing in his Lonesome Dove outfit. 2026 short script already has 2 Wins on IMDb.
SYNOPSIS:
Because we worked together then later I pitched a screenplay to him, Robert Duvall "came" to me after he died where we discussed life, love, acting, and "making it in The Business." All of his real "quiet mastery" quotes calmed my concerns. After working in "Gods & Generals" he gave me an autographed picture in his Lonesome Dove outfit which answers my dream's wardrobe choice (poster shown). After I pitched, he told me to call him "Bob" and autographed his favorite dvd "Tomorrow." Both of which played out in my dream.

Hi Lawrence Whitener - what we're looking for in a logline is story. Here's a template that I sometimes use to make sure the elements of story are included in the logline. "2026 short script already has 2 Wins on IMDb." is not one of those story elements.
“After ______ (the inciting incident/the event that sets the plot in motion), a _______ (an adjective and the protagonist's position/role) tries to _______ (goal of story) so/in order to ________ (stakes).”
