SYNOPSIS:

THE CLEANSER revolves around two men; JONAH, a man with a dark past that keeps haunting him while Bishop LUCA is a man with a darkness in his heart that he has kept well hidden from everyone. Their path cross when they both move to kiambu and a spree of prostitute killings which had been reported in the media across the country start. The police rush in to get the serial killer who they now believe is in Kiambu town. Jonah soon finds himself as a suspect after the killing of Faith Mtali whose parents he had killed years back in a grisly road accident. The two were seen together before her death and more evidence points to him being the killer. He is soon arrested and the town is up in arms baying for blood with only Becca(jonah's wife), Bishop Luca and his parents as the only people who believe he is innocent. Now Jonah has to confront his past in order to prove his innocence and in a twist of events as soon as he starts opening up about his past, the evidence against him starts breaking up and the more he opens up the more his innocence is seen. On the other hand Bishop Luca continues to play the good bishop while quenching his darkness when no one is looking. He hides it very well until one day his secretary Becca; Jonah's wife stumbles on his hidden weapons. He is the killer who has been killing prostitutes from his teen days as he believes they are the scum of this earth. As Jonah is released, Bishop Luca kidnaps Becca who has discovered his darkness and now Jonah must rush to save his wife from the serial killer who also almost destroyed his life.
