The extraordinary true story of what religious terrorists planned to be the most spectacular political assassination of all time, the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, where the core of the plan was to blow up the King and his entire government in Parliament in London - and only one man can stop them.

I think I remember listening to this story at a walking tour at Big Ben, London. If your blowup plan is at Big Ben, maybe you can say it in the log-line or rename the title to something more exciting like -- Blow Up Big Ben?

The main problem is that Big Ben wasn't built until the 19th century! The title is shortened from The Powder Treason, which is the name by which it was originally known.

Thanks Grant for clarification! :))
but is it around that area then?

Pattana, the Plot was to blow up the old Houses of Parliament, which no longer exist, but are thought to be in the same area. The trouble is that the 'new' (in fact Victorian) buildings bear virtually no resemblance to what was there before.

Good to know the fact, Grant. I remember hearing that the heads of the people behind the treason-gone-wrong were gruesomely pierced on a stick — eyes probably hanging out, tongue pulled. Because the king was so pissed that they dared to do that.
