A gay Scotsman finds love while trying to reinvent his family's dying funeral business. Many little things make a big thing.
SYNOPSIS:
When Jacky Boyle faces the fact that he needs to step down as the director of their family funeral business, he turns things over to his gay son Taffy.
Taffy must reinvent the way they have been doing funerals in order to save the business. Taffy meets Cameron Lorn at Cameron’s brother’s funeral. Farlane Lorn died in a tragic freak accident at the whisky distillery where he worked. The two fall in love and form a strong bond.
Taffy launches the new way of doing funerals at their local pub. People seem keen on the idea of designing their own funerals.
Taffy’s sister, Aberdeen, and her brother-in-law, Firth, own an ewe farm. Someone has been stealing their ewes. They can’t afford the loss as they are saving for a seeing-eye dog for their 6-year-old blind daughter, Greer.
Taffy dyes his hair a blushing pink, and Firth gets the idea to dye the ewes' heads pink so no one can steal them. It catches the attention of the local news, and soon they are known as “ The Famous Blushing Ewes”.
It ends with a party crasher’s funeral for Taffy’s Mam, a backyard wedding, a seeing eye pig named Brewster, & an encounter with Nessie.
I believe the diverse, quirky characters with heart would appeal to people of all ages.
