Tonya isn't sure if she's going to sell the agency, but when she's passed up for partner at her law firm in Chicago, she resigns and decides to give the industry game a shot. Little does she know, it will be more difficult than anticipated. With a decrepit building and a roster of incarcerated, washed-up, and deceased clients, Tonya has a daunting task ahead.

While renovating the agency and trying to bring new clients in, she holds weekly open calls for talent, and is overwhelmed by the creative pool looking for representation.

She comes to understand her dad TELLY TOPPER'S belief, that there's alwasy an upside to down and that everyone has potential. That philopsophy explains his lack of balance sheets or statements of positive cash flow. He always invested in dreamers, and didn't look at the business side of things. He was known for his fairness, honesty, decency and well respected in the industry.

When Tonya lands a sought-after client, ruthless agents put the Topper Talent Agency in their crosshairs. They want to take her down.

WIth the help of her father's close friend, and her Godfather, MEL BROOKS (yes, that Mel Brooks), Tonya learns the business and turns the bedridden agency into an actual Hollywood contender.

Through laughter and tears, she honors her father's legacy by bringing Topper Talent Agency into the 21st century.
