This sounds like an exciting movie, James Sutherland! Maybe "Rocky" meets "Ransom." :)
I think your logline needs some work. Here's a logline suggestion: "After his son gets kidnapped, a disgraced and timeworn boxer fights to re-up his license so he can get back in the ring and make enough money to pay his son's ransom (?????)."
