By Pavle "Pav" Petrovic

GENRE: Thriller, Crime
LOGLINE:

Jordan is an auto mechanic trying to make ends meet with his wife, Ella. After being given his father’s last will by a stranger, he starts an investigation which leads him to his wife, and lawyer, as main suspects

SYNOPSIS:

A car mechanic is shot during the night while repairing his car on the road shoulders.

Three years later. Jordan is in his shop. He pulls in an older customer, who's got a flat tire. They have a conversation, where the stranger leaves his father’s last will in an envelope, and leaves.

His wife, Ella, is struggling with her own job in a barista café. Jordan gives Ella the document, which shocks her. His father was murdered three years ago. After learning there’s $100,000 to be found in an apartment downtown, she tells Jordan to call her lawyer, Edison.

One month later, Jordan found the hidden money and spent the entire month living there in solitude. He returns home, just to find Ella has new clothes, jewelry, and the fridge full of food. She tells him what’s his is also hers, since they are married. Seeing how much she’s interested in his money, he starts an investigation regarding his father’s murder.

Jordan finds Ella’s and his father were high school friends, who had a failed venture to create a car repair shop. Later they founded them separately, as rivals. After confronting Ella about the big detail she never revealed, Jordan decides to talk in person with her lawyer Edison. During the confrontation, the stranger from his shop appears as Mark, a police investigator and old friend of Jordan’s father. After managing to disarm Mark, both he and Jordan were arrested.

Mark and Ella were jailed and trialed for their connections with the murder, but no concrete evidence was found against them. Jordan divorced her and found a new love not long after, with whom he still lives a happy life. Mark and Ella later married.
