GENRE: Romance, Music
LOGLINE:

In the searing heart of Los Angeles’ rock scene, Onyx, the tormented frontman of breakout band BloodBarron, spirals into cocaine addiction just as the band hits its stride—forcing him to reckon with his demons, fractured relationships, and the brutal cost of fame in a desperate bid for redemption before everything crashes for good.

SYNOPSIS:

Set against the gritty, glittering backdrop of Los Angeles' rock underground, BloodBarron: Onyx

chronicles the rise, fall, and reckoning of Onyx, the enigmatic lead singer of the band that set the city on fire. As BloodBarron’s fame explodes, so does Onyx’s dependency on cocaine, fracturing his bond with bandmates, sabotaging recording sessions, and threatening the soul of the music itself. Haunted by trauma, consumed by excess, and chased by a past he can't outrun, Onyx faces a final crossroads: continue down a path of destruction, or fight to reclaim his art, his relationships, and his life. Raw, intimate, and unflinching, this is a story of redemption lit by the spotlight—and shadowed by everything that comes with it.

Los Angeles, mid-2000s. The city is a siren song of excess and ambition, and no one rides that razor’s edge like BloodBarron—a hard-charging rock band with a sound as raw as the streets they came from. At the center of it all is Onyx, a magnetic frontman with a voice that could shake the rafters and a past he’d rather bury. With BloodBarron on the cusp of global breakout, Onyx finds himself torn between the dream he’s always chased and the darkness he can’t outrun.

What began as casual partying to numb the noise soon spirals into a full-blown cocaine addiction, consuming Onyx’s days and fracturing the band’s trust. Recording sessions derail. Tour dates implode. His relationships—especially with his closest bandmate and on-again, off-again lover—begin to buckle under the weight of broken promises and self-sabotage.

As the band’s label applies pressure and the media smells blood, Onyx begins to unravel, haunted by childhood trauma, survivor’s guilt from a lost friend, and a deepening sense of isolation despite the spotlight. Flashes of early days—cheap gigs, dirty couches, and a shared hunger for more—reveal how far he’s drifted from the person he once was.

When a near-fatal overdose forces everything to a standstill, Onyx is left with a brutal choice: disappear into legend as another tragic cautionary tale, or claw his way back—one apology, one song, one sober breath at a time.

BloodBarron: Onyx is a visceral, unflinching portrait of a man caught between myth and mortality. It's a story of addiction, artistry, and the long, uneven road to redemption in an industry that builds you up to break you down. And at its heart, it’s about what remains when the noise fades and the only thing left is the truth.
