Guided by Thorpe's wisdom, he ignites a passionate movement to eradicate a racial slur used as a sports team's name, leading a relentless campaign towards a hard-won victory.

SYNOPSIS:

COCHISE MACK, an impoverished teen of Black and Apache bloodlines has had enough of being called 'the R- word' and wants to do something to about it. But what?

Haunted by this need, his shamanistic grandfather guides him on a Vision Quest to find his path. In the Spirit World, Cochise is mentored by the legendary, Jim Thorpe. The mind-blowing experience, solidifies his passion to succeed. He will need that hyper-passion because at the monumental obstacles that stand in his way. Not only have team owners refused to budge…but LESTER, who bullied Cochise as a child has become a full-blown skinhead and his crew are flooding the Rez with meth. He vows revenge against Cochise for his time spent in prison.

Cochise uses his electric personality and creativity to build a coalition that raises his fight to a national level. A peaceful protest is held at BIA headquarters in Arizona, but club wielding skinheads go on the attack. Many, injured. Cochise orders women and children to go inside the BIA. All seems lost, but busloads of Indigenous pull up. Spirits rise. Cochise and Lester go toe-to-toe. They trade blows, but Cochise celebrates victory. After a whooping, the skinheads flee. The protesters take the building in memory of Wounded Knee and Russell Means. While there, the Ghost Dance is re-created inside. Cochise finds evidence of corruption by the top BIA official. As he is taken into custody, Cochise gets more good news. Under social pressure, the team owner relents and will suspend usage of that name/slur. The quest of Cochise Mack…victorious.
