LOGLINE: A gay man moves into the house of his rescuer after his his lover is assaulted and killed in a dark alley. 2011 Bill Cosby Screenwriting Fellowship Commentary: Rob Tyler has written a compelling psychological drama that combines inspired characters with a dramatic premise. The characters are multidimensional, displaying a variety of emotions that make them apealing without becoming mauldin and predictable. The Writer has an innate talent that could benefit from the program and eventually become and asset. A very moving psychological drama.

SYNOPSIS:

After witnessing the homicidal assault on MIGUEL, RONJAE, a heterosexual, Black male, races to the scene, and administers his own version of street justice, leaving the three thugs dead in the alley after losing the fight they had instigated. In a strange twist of fate, Ronjae has the opportunity to open his heart and house to CONNOR while he recovers from his devasting losses, including the loss of his job, as Miguel once did for him when he was homeless and alone. They become devoted roomates who rebuild their lives with the help of a compassionate female PUBLIC DEFENDER whose sexual orientation helps her to understand what happen and why. Classified as a murder mystery, she decides to let the crime remain a cold case.
