By Ramon Aranda

GENRE: Drama, Historical
LOGLINE: THE AMERICAN DREAM

SYNOPSIS:

“The Road Taken” by Ramon Aranda, a film that intricately intertwines the path that is sometimes taken to enter the United States as an immigrant. “The Road Taken” takes true life experiences and gives his own personal interpretation to an almost common experience of crossing the border illegally into the United States. The storyline is one that takes place in almost every entryway into America. Fences are being built, bringing to the forefront the events that transpired as a result of 911. In utilizing these metaphors dealing with this contemporary socio-political issue, “The Road Taken” reveals that the family bond all too often collapses along with a cultural identity. Sometimes by risking it all and enduring hardships, the family unit suffers and does not survive. This film takes you through a journey which will inspire and make a reality of the battle that exists in crossing the border for a chance at the “American Dream.”
