An isolated, naïve young woman, stuck in a backward society, connects to a world-weary psychologist through a lost phone, and the battery is dying.
SYNOPSIS:
“Little Distance” is about two vastly different worlds. Psychologist Michelle of Chinese descent, recovering alcoholic with a secret of a child she gave up when she was at university; and Amy, who lives an isolated life, knows little of the world and lives on a rural farm with her profoundly religious parents. Amy finds Michele’s dropped phone in a small town. Amy and Michelle connect through the phone. Michelle finds Amy’s of Chinese descent, adopted by her barren parents. The phone, its connection to the internet, shatters Amy’s idea of herself and the world. As Michelle’s world falls apart, Amy phones, her wedding will happen sooner. Michelle has a choice to make.

logline seems to be describing one scene not the movie
Really. Does make sense when I read it that way, but really, in the script, the conversation is over most of the film, again, as the phone battery is dying.
