QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT
By KC Kramer

GENRE: Science Fiction, Comedy
LOGLINE:

Thanks to an ancient artifact that bears her name, a woman joins forces with a time travel law enforcement agency to save the future and be together with the destined love of her life.

SYNOPSIS:

25 years ago, a girl named Clea had her balloon popped by a mysterious woman. Clea chased after the woman into a museum where the woman led her, before disappearing in a bright flash of light, to an artifact from an Egyptian pharaoh’s tomb that has a heart drawn on it in modern day marker with the words “Clea + Ned” written in the center of it in Clea’s own handwriting.

Flash forward to modern times where Clea is now working as a historian in the very same museum and is still rather obsessed with this artifact. Clea is then asked by a security guard named Rick Stanley to attend a gala being thrown at the museum with him. She politely declines and heads back to her office, only to run into two people who are clearly time travellers, and one of them is the woman who popped Clea’s balloon. Clea accuses her of being a time traveller and questions her about who Ned is, and the woman, named Agent Smirnoff, makes a run for it. Clea manages to catch her just as she is transported back to the future to the headquarters of the Timeline Interference Tactical Squadron (Or T.I.T.S for short).

Clea is held in custody and is told that she will have to have her memory wiped, which will unfortunately leave her a total amnesiac. Fortunately, Clea overhears that the quantum terrorist Smirnoff is trying to capture is named Rick Stanley. She offers to help her catch him so that she put off having her memories wiped. The director of T.I.T.S agrees to let Clea help, and she and Smirnoff go back to the 21st century.

Clea attends the gala with Rick, who quickly deduces that Clea is working for T.I.T.S and locks her in a supply closet while he enacts his villainous plot to change the timeline. Clea manages to escape the supply closet through the air vents and stops Rick’s plan dead in its tracks. She then goes to regroup with Smirnoff and finds her sitting in front of the rock with Clea’s writing, transfixed. The two of them share an emotional moment, prompting Smirnoff to reveal to Clea that her first name is Nadia, but everyone calls her “Ned.” They then return to the future where Clea and Ned are surprised to find out that the director of T.I.T.S has been doing research on Clea and has found evidence that suggests Clea does become a time traveler. So, Clea is officially welcomed into the ranks of the Timeline Interference Tactical Squadron. But, while Clea celebrates her childhood dreams coming true, somewhere else in the future, a seemingly-evil organization seems to be plotting something revolving around Clea and the museum artifact called “Operation Grandfather.”
