In 1988, two youngsters met in a nightclub to develop a friendship and love for a season.

SYNOPSIS:

Set In 1988, Doug Diamond and Vivica Rians met in a nightclub, where Vivica was hanging out with her sisters, Tracey & Veronica Rians and Doug is having a men's night with his cousin Peter, and their best friend Jermane. The two make a short conversation and exchange numbers. Doug is a Fast-food manager and Vivica is a diner waitress. They spent the first-time making excuses of not having a first date with one another. Then Doug and Vivica start having phone conversations, a dinner date, and dancing.

Throughout the year of 1988, Doug and Vivica spend more time together dating, going shopping, attending church, attending Holiday dinners, and attending a New Year's Eve party. In 1989, Doug’s ex-wife, Sally return months after her divorce with a basketball player and helping her family out in Nigeria. One night at the club, Vivica gets a surprised that Doug is a married man. Doug saw Vivica on a sushi bar with her date and gets jealous and ended their season as friends. They go their separate ways.

Two years later in 1991, Doug and Vivica reunited at Veronica’s sister’s wedding, where Vivica is a manager at an Atlanta Restaurant and Doug is a divorced man. The two came together, talked things out, and Vivica decided to give Doug a second chance.

The film contains several segments where dating couples and singles narrate to the camera their stories of how they met and how their relationship ended. The last couple features who are now a married couple, Doug and Vivica Diamond.
