Fearing for her life at the hand of her abusive partner, a young woman escapes to the brutal streets of Atlanta on a journey of self-discovery, love and freedom.
SYNOPSIS:
A Latino woman living in an abusive relationship makes a desperate escape to the streets, choosing to fight the horrors of homelessness on the streets of Atlanta rather than to return to the prison like relationship.
Her journey is as much one of survival as it is of self discovery as Gypsy faces the worst life has to offer until she is befriended by a homeless man seeking only friendship. Strangely living happily on the streets, fate falls hard when what little she has left in life is almost lost, leading her to fight her own demons in order to do more than merely survive.
Gypsy is a drama driven to answer the question - What value has freedom?
For sure Brad. Society tends to look down on the homeless when the reality is that many of them are there because, as bad as it is, it's a better alternative to their previous situation which, when you think about it, is astonishing given how hard homelessness must be.
