SYNOPSIS:
(autobiographical/narrative/documentary)
Recounting the greatest US urban disaster, through the eyes of a woman that endured it and carried on. I grew up and lived in New Orleans for most of my life, and experienced many hurricanes just as severe as Katrina. However, none of them has impacted my life the way that it did. Nearly 10 years on, just the mention of that fact that I lived in New Orleans and underwent the tragedy, leads to so much lengthy discussion, questions about the event, interest in the outcome for the city and its current residents. As well as, how it conjures up so much conjecture and comment on the state of politics and human affairs in our present society that is so closely connected. Based on my personal experiences and account of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, in southern Louisiana.
