SYNOPSIS:

Vietnam (1968), physically and emotional wounded, Lieutenant Alexandra Young, falls into a reckless affair with a young sergeant, Jessica Douglas. When their liaison exposes her, she submits to cruel “psych” therapy, out of guilt and to conceal Jessica’s identity, only to make the painful discovery that Jessica had fled in the interim. USA (1975), Alex finds love again in Michael but the return of Jessica racks her with self-doubt. Unwilling to yield she rejects Jessica’s passionate advances. With jealousy mounting Jessica tells Michael everything but ultimately her tactics only brings them closer. Enraged, she breaks into their home but in the frantic struggle to kill Michael she shoots Alex instead. Jessica is caught as Michael rushes to the hospital to find Alex critical but not fatally wounded.
