VICTOR
By Val Chernyavskiy

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

A mercantile and young, sexy girl can get any man and any gift. But she meets a mysterious man who is beyond her reach.

SYNOPSIS:

Rachel is a young, confident woman with a high sense of self-importance. Her life credo is: "Men are cows that need to be milked." Rachel believes that a woman's success is measured by the number of men willing to pay for her. Her life is one big triumph: expensive gifts, the attention of envious friends, and the illusion of complete control over the situation.

However, her ideal world begins to unravel when she meets a man, Victor, who questions her principles. This man seems like the perfect target for Rachel: wealthy, charming, and intelligent. But instead of falling for her manipulations, he behaves differently. His calmness and unwillingness to play by her rules shatter her confidence. He sees right through her, and each attempt to manipulate or use him ends with a cold departure and a sense of bewilderment.

Rachel, used to being the best marksman, wants to prove to herself that she can hit this target. But her attempts to regain control gradually turn into something more. To attract Victor's attention, she decides to show him that she is capable of something serious and meaningful. She starts engaging in charity work, hoping that it will convince him of her sincerity.

At first, her actions are merely a performance: she organizes events, makes donations, but all of this is just to please him. However, during the process, she encounters genuine gratitude from the people she helps. The first tears of joy from fulfilling non-material values make her feel like a real person. A complete person. No expensive purchases or lavish gifts have filled her life like this charity event. Deep cracks in her mercantile philosophy start to appear.

Rachel becomes so absorbed in charity work that it turns into an unhealthy obsession. She wants to prove to herself that she can completely abandon her past life and become a different person. But her actions spiral out of control and begin to harm both herself and others.

She starts donating more and more money to questionable projects. Her approach becomes impulsive: she gives money without thinking about the consequences. People begin to take advantage of her generosity, deceiving her for their own benefit.

At one point, she attempts to fund a large project to "save" underprivileged families, but instead of helping, the money is wasted due to fraudsters. Her reputation, which had started to improve, plunges even further.

Rachel faces the consequences of her obsession: she loses her financial stability, breaks her last connections with loved ones, and even risks destroying her relationship with the very man for whom she began to change.

With her last money, Rachel organizes a charity event. She is advised to save money for herself, but she argues, calling herself a rich woman. Because now, she understands that men should be cherished, and they shouldn’t be manipulated. Sex is not a reward. Sex is simply a spark of feelings when people like each other. She plans to write a book titled "A Woman Is a Helper to a Man." For this speech, Rachel receives generous donations from the event's participants, which she promises to use for a large print run of her book, which she believes will be successful.
