SYNOPSIS:

The Santa Project is a fresh take on the Santa Claus story with a strong Mrs. Claus presence - all through the lens of adaptation, redemption and the enduring spirit of Christmas. During a fierce blizzard at the North Pole, Head Elf Finley and two others struggle to gain entrance to the workshop against the elements to check out a problem. Upon Santa and Mrs. Claus’ return from a post-Christmas vacation at at Fairytale Island, Finley tells them that the North Pole is in crisis. Environmental instability has weakened the foundations of Santa's Workshop, making it unsafe to continue Christmas operations. There are no viable solutions presented by the North Pole R&D department, so Finley proposes an unprecedented idea: enlist Joshua Parker Bennett, the world's leading physicist and lifelong Christmas enthusiast. Despite fears of exposing the North Pole's secrets, a sudden earthquake forces everyone to accept the risk and let Joshua and Finley lead the project with the help of a team of elves and Joshua’s specialized crew from the outside. To help keep the North Pole’s secrets, Finley has invented the Merry Memory Remover to use on the outsiders. While Joshua oversees repairs at the North Pole, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a small team of elves temporarily relocate Christmas headquarters to Atlanta and use the warehouse of a year-round Christmas store for the temporary workshop. They move into an Atlanta suburban neighborhood, where they navigate the challenges of Southern life—from airport security, Santa at the DMV, and grocery shopping to neighborhood gatherings and community friendships. Mrs. Claus becomes a source of kindness and inspiration, especially after helping a struggling family regain hope. As Christmas approaches, Santa makes a surprise visit to the North Pole and discovers Joshua and his wealthy financier for the project, Maximillian Wolf, have betrayed them. The true plan is to strip the North Pole of its natural resources, destroying Christmas forever. With Santa now imprisoned by Maximillian, Joshua has a change of heart and along with Mrs. Claus they race to stop Maximillian before Christmas Eve. They save the North Pole, Christmas is delivered on time, and hope is restored. But in a final twist, it’s revealed that Maximillian has stolen Finley's memory-erasing device, setting the stage for an even greater threat.
