A haunted Strasbourg detective uncovers crimes entangled with her grandfather's Nazi past, confronting blurred moral boundaries and the inescapable weight of inherited guilt across generations.
SYNOPSIS:
Rhine Crossing is a 6 x 60’ police procedural serial set in Strasbourg, France. Each episode features a “crime of the week”, overlaid with the series story arcs.
At its core, RHINE CROSSING explores inherited guilt and chosen responsibility - how we reckon with the crimes of previous generations while forging our own moral path. Can we escape original sin, or are we forever defined by what came before? The series answers: redemption is possible, but only through painful honesty and sacrifice.
Strasbourg itself is a character - a liminal space where nothing is cleanly divided. French or German? Past or present? Complicit or resistant?
Every episode uses the city's unique position to explore how we navigate moral borderlands.
