SYNOPSIS:

King Pin is based on a true story taking place in Philadelphia, Pa in 1984 about a 15 year old boy faced with tremendous obstacles and unprecedented responsibility for his family while pursuing a dream of playing high school football. As the oldest of eight children with the burden of a mentally ill mother, he experiences enormous setbacks of extreme poverty, academic failure, and the impact of mental illness on his family. Eventually, he endures and excels as one of the best high school dual sport athletes of his time; earning college scholarships and the status of the first to attend and graduate from college on both sides of his family.
