Former DEA agent turned swanky club owner running away from her past is confronted by her ex-husband to help clear his name and bring down a major drug lord dragging her back into the very world she's trying to escape.

SYNOPSIS:

Rita’s (34) life is torn asunder when her father is assaulted in his bar by local drug dealers. Despite her years as a one of Miami’s best DEA Agents she is unable to stop them from killing her father right before her eyes. Feeling like a failure she runs away from Miami and her ruined marriage to Bogotá Columbia where she buries her father in the family plot. She opts for a fresh start in a new city. Since the only thing she knows other than law enforcement is how to run a bar she opens a swanky nightclub.

After just a few years her club becomes wildly popular with the movers and shakers of Bogotá. Any night you can find dignitaries sitting next to high ranking drug traffickers or super models next to bankers. A big part of her success is her consummate skill as a good hostess remaining neutral and treating all her customers equally whether they are law abiding or criminals, corrupt or honest.

Rita’s new world is once again shattered when her ex-husband John shows up at the club with his new (younger) wife in tow asking for help nailing Ernesto a local drug lord. Ever neutral she initially refuses. But her hand is forced when Ernesto uses his clout to have her club closed by the authorities and he kidnaps John’s wife. John’s loyalty to the DEA is put into question when falsified evidence is planted by John’s partner that he is in league with Ernesto leaving both Rita and John set adrift.

Forced to work together again both Rita and John become conflicted as old passions are rekindled, putting into question their motives and their future. With a only few inexperienced friends to help, Rita and John plan a “hail Mary” assault on Ernesto’s estate to save John’s new wife, bring down Ernesto and expose John’s dirty partner. Plans go asunder as the first bullets fly when things turn out to be not what they seem. Friends become enemies and enemies become allies in the all out battle to take Ernesto’s estate.
