After witnessing a cold-blooded assassination of a family friend, Janet Warrick is on the run to preserve her own life. SYNOPSIS:

Dr. Janet “Sport” Warrick is right where she wants to be. Single, beautiful, and a successful physician; her biggest worry is staving off her mother’s nagging insistence that she get married.

Warrick witnesses the murder of a family friend who gives her a mysterious black case as he dies. He instructs her to give it to CIA agent Sean McGee. When a plot by Russia to infiltrate our nation is uncovered, McGee finds out too late how near the enemy is.

Her life is turned utterly upside down. Pursued by enemy agents, Warrick finds refuge in the protective custody of handsome, self–assured McGee.

The plot is deeper than either realize, setting them on the run, with no one they can clearly trust. Sean struggles to keep Sport safe from danger, and from knowing too much. Sport struggles with no longer being in control and trusting this mysterious man who’s hiding many secrets.

As McGee and Warrick dig deeper, they uncover a plot threatening the life of the President and the security of the United States. Together they race to recruit allies, stop a hidden assassin, and live long enough to explore the feelings they are discovering for each other.
