SYNOPSIS:

Judy Swood is a kindhearted but chronically late school bus driver whose poor self-esteem and clumsy mistakes have made her the laughingstock of both her coworkers and the children on her route. Constantly criticized by her no-nonsense supervisor, Nancy Bull—who never seems to pronounce Judy's last name correctly—Judy is reassigned to a new route driving a short yellow bus. Among her passengers are Susie Jones, a sharp-tongued student who reminds Judy of the childhood bullying she never escaped, and Julian Gallini, an innocent and cheerful eight-year-old whose warmth offers a rare bright spot in Judy's day.

While dropping Julian off after school, Judy accidentally witnesses a brutal murder. Terrified and unable to believe what she has seen, she convinces herself she must have imagined it, retreating to the comfort of her four cats—Kit-Kat, Skittles, Snickers, and Starburst—and another evening binge-watching CSI.
