Evil has a name. But is it human
In a desperate bid to uncover the truth behind the infamous Jack the Ripper, Father Shaun and Sister Adriana travel back to 1888 Whitechapel, where they must confront a terrifying evil that may be more than just a man—a demon lurking in the shadows, ready to claim more victims.
SYNOPSIS:
REVISED SYNOPSIS:
In January 1888, Father Shaun and Sister Adriana dive into an icy canal to save a drowning postman — and are pulled through a mysterious time gate into the gas lit alleys of Whitechapel. There, they find themselves in the midst of the Ripper murders, each more grotesque and ritualistic than the last.
But these killings are no ordinary crimes. As they investigate, Shaun and Adriana uncover a pattern of occult symbols and temporal disturbances suggesting that Jack the Ripper is not just a madman — he’s a vessel for something far more ancient and malevolent.
With each murder, the veil between worlds thins. If they fail to stop the Ripper before his final ritual, a demonic force will break free — not only dooming Victorian London, but unravelling time itself. Armed only with their faith and wits, Shaun and Adriana must battle horrors both human and hellish to prevent a darkness that could consume all of history.
Simple and easy to follow and will undoubtedly have a following, but what I am not gleaning from this logline is what's at stake. So they find out he was possessed? Okay, fine. So what? Where's the drama? I think if you can shine a light on why it matters, what your heroes (and perhaps the world) stand to lose, then this logline will be far stronger.
