SYNOPSIS:
Charlie develops an online dating site solely to generate an endless supply of potential sexual conquests for himself. But when Check-Mate.com becomes the most popular site in the country, he has to turn it into a legitimate business to keep his plan alive. He recruits Terri, a woman who he really desires, to manage the business in hopes he can charm her pants off. Online daters flock to the site to find the love of their life or to fulfill their fantasies. But liars get in the way. One-third of U.S. married couples met online. It has quickly become the primary way that mates meet. Everyone who has online dated has funny stories to tell of their experiences. Men and women flock to online dating sites to find the love of their life. Some use online dating sites for sexual gratification. Lies and misrepresentation are the enemies of online daters, and a significant number of people misrepresent themselves. In our story, even the online dating site begins as a fraud designed to provide the owner of the dating site with an endless supply of potential sexual conquests. The settings for the show are housing complexes in Orlando, Florida and The Villages, Florida where friends and acquaintances of various ages often get together to talk about their online dating experiences. The Orlando office of Check-Mate.com is also a setting. The plot follows the owner of the dating site as he pursues his conquest goals as well as two groups of friends, one young and one old, as they look for love online, invariably with funny results. In every episode, we see the friends sharing stories; we see the various aspects of online dating in full color; and we watch the dirty old man who owns the online dating site and his group of TMZ-like employees making fun of the daters.
