The series centers on the lives, duties, and struggles of Wyoming's fictional small and elite Ranger task force in Cheyenne, lead by the charming and arrogant Chief Ranger Mick Jameson, who doesn't believe in rules and likes to lead by an unconventional approach, investigates, tracks, and solves major crimes under their jurisdiction ranging from murder to kidnapping, shootings, corruption, gambling and issues with the Native American reservation's. The team — also made up of; Ranger Ford Bennett; Ranger Billie Monroe; Ranger Ash Thomas; and Ranger Gwen Hernández — are committed to protecting Wyoming and fighting for what's right, regardless of the rules, but more often than not, find themselves navigating dramatic clashes, finding authority within boundaries, trying to find common ground as a team, facing personal and professional challenges on a daily basis, while delving into the bureaucratic corruption and practices of the fallible higher brass.
