3  CARD MONTE is based on actual events. Imagine "Catch Me if You Can" meets " A Bronx Tale".

To avenge his father's brutal death and claim his independence, a brash, legitimate young businessman plays a life and death chess game against the Mafia - who run everything around him. His only weapon against a brutally stacked deck are his wits and street smarts.

SYNOPSIS:

Victor Tortuga (imagine a Latin - and younger - Shia LaBeouf or Miles Teller-type) grows up in his tough-minded single father's restaurant, the only honest business - the only one not "paying tribute"- to a Mafia Don. His father dies when he's a teenager, and the family legacy is lost. Years later the charismatic Victor graduates and starts a business in his neighborhood. He discovers his father's death is the result of a Mob hit. What does someone DO with this information? Depends on a person's character, brains, heart. Using everything he's learned on his own, lessons his father fought to in-grain, and knowledge of the streets... Victor puts a crazy-like-a fox plan into action. He strolls into a Mob-owned bank and takes $5 million dollars-without a gun (disproving the myth of fingerprints). He pulls the strings to avenge his father's death in a way that Made Men can't even attempt retaliation. He doesn't run, or go into hiding. This movie is about fathers and sons, life lessons, and hiding in plain sight.
