A disgraced police officer turned private investigator tracks down a superhuman neighborhood serial killer.

SYNOPSIS:

The Year is 2047, and there are no more polar ice caps and no more governments. The planet has heated up to unimaginable temperatures making life outdoors virtually impossible during the day. There are only two ways that people now live, one, sheltered inside “The Complex”, massive interconnected towers where life is a 24/7 affair working for a Corporation. The other is living in the shadows of “The Complex”, known as the wastelands, staying underground and hidden during the day and coming out to night to a world where survival is the only game and compassion is in short supply.

A string of grisly murders in the wastelands by the serial killer only known as “The Slasher” turns personal for Jamal when he arrives too late to prevent his cousin from becoming the latest victim. A private detective in the wastelands, Jamal is known for doing odd surveillance and protection jobs for a whole cast of unsavory characters and criminals.

Once a thriving member of the Corporate Security Force living in “The Complex”, Jamal was thrown off the force for disobeying a direct order to slaughter desperate rioting members of the wastelands. And now he too finds himself a resident of the very neighborhood he tried to protect living the life of a desert rat, scurrying at night to make a living.

Teaming up with a member of the Corporate Security Force to catch the Slasher, Jamal’s investigation takes a life of its own as he soon uncovers the monstrous truth. That the serial killer escaped from a top secret Corporate program that’s attempting to create genetically modified super soldiers. And that this program has its reaches right up to the very top of The Complex.
