The volume of a former rock star's life is turned up when he is hired to write a Christmas song for a pop star and his estranged daughter is forced by her mother to spend Christmas with him.  While father and daughter form a strong bond, the pop star has a major breakdown after the rock star writes a hit Christmas song.
