SURVIVAL

SURVIVAL
By Benjamin Watts

GENRE: Thriller
LOGLINE:

When five former college friends plan a survivalist trip into the wilderness away from their busy lives, they can't wait to reconnect with nature and each other after a decade apart. Things begin to unravel as past secrets resurface and they soon realize they're not alone in the woods. Are they being hunted, or have they gone wild themselves?

SYNOPSIS:

Five girlfriends set out on a survivalist adventure to connect with each other after life has taken them in different directions. After a brief stay in a country lodge, they're off into the wild with only essentials and their combined skills. An unsettling POV watches them from the forest as they traverse deeper and deeper into the wilderness, further from civilization.

Soon, hidden issues between the group bubble to the surface as they try to keep on the task at hand, survival. Tools come up missing and one of the crew is snared, leading them to consider turning back. Stumbling upon an old woodsman that makes them feel unwelcome, they consider he may have been behind some of the mishaps, but trek on, not considering him a serious threat. The suspense builds as one of the group goes missing and the others go in search of her, only to fall prey to more traps. They soon realize they're being hunted. With nightfall on them and injured companions to carry, will they get off the mountain and back to civilization before it's too late? Or will the wild get them before the hunter does?

There's something here, Benjamin, but it needs more clarity. Inner struggles is vague. The reconnecting part can be better explained. Keep molding and tightening.
