SYNOPSIS:
Meredith Stevenson is devoted to saving the unborn. As a fifty something executive of a Brooklyn crisis pregnancy center, she lives for her work and in collecting ceramic and glass hummingbirds. On her weekend off, Meredith practices her annual speech for the upcoming pro-life conference. On Monday morning, she’s ready. She starts the day with a meeting with the boss of the center. Disappointed with her numbers, he replaces Meredith as speaker at the conference. Devastated by the loss, her dedication turns into a dangerous obsession. Later that day, when Gen, a young Goth from Poughkeepsie, enters the center seeking an abortion, Meredith locks her in. Gen attempts to flee but Meredith tases her. She takes Gen hostage in a tunnel underneath the building and is determined the young woman give birth. In the meantime, Meredith meets Connie, a nurse midwife. Their friendship grows until Meredith discovers that Connie provides abortion care. She abruptly ends the relationship and becomes more dogged than ever. About to capture another victim, her assistant, Carla, interrupts. Meredith tases Carla and chases after her prey. The girl gets away so Meredith retreats to her office. The boss fires her on the spot, ordering her out of the building. In revenge, Meredith acquires a gun from a neighbor. She returns to the center and goes on a bloody killing spree. Meredith reenters the tunnel where Gen is waiting. Gen ambushes Meredith. And the two enter into an epic battle with deadly consequences.
