Though it's hate at first sight, a couple can't escape kismet when they meet at a rehab center after  accidents at exactly the same time, but she in Boston and he in India. 

SYNOPSIS:

After their families try to arrange marriages for them, Sashi in Boston, and Avi in India, they storm out of their homes to drive off their anger. Each have an accident at exactly the same moment and must go to John Hopkins Hospital in Delaware to recover.

Sashi sees Avi in the rehab center and thinks he's the handsomest man she's ever seen, but when they meet, his arrogance is an immediate turn off. Sashi's cluelessness as to Avi's pain and discomfort at his circumstances has the same effect on him.

Being the only two their age at the rehab center soon leads to a thaw in their relationship. But, being an accountant and totally left brained, Sashi doesn't get Avi's artistic-filmmaker goals and, when it's time to decide whether she will go to India with Avi, or return to Boston to achieve her goal of becoming a CPA and having her own business, Sashi abandons Avi at the hospital.

Having denied her Indian heritage her whole life, Sashi realizes it was a mistake to abandon Avi for her dull job in Boston and she must leave her comfort zone to travel by herself to India to find the love of her life and reclaim her Indian heritage.

"Thelma and Louise" and without Louise and with a happy ending, WHEN OPPOSITES ATTRACT is a Bollywood roadtrip. Sort of, "When Harry Met Sally" meets "Slumdog Millionaire".
