SYNOPSIS:
THE TRUMAN SHOW DELUSION
Logline: When five stand-up comedians suffering from TSD suddenly can’t get gigs and end up on the streets of L.A., a TV company places them in a homeless center to perform; in exchange, they must document their lives as they team up to investigate the industry culprits who got them blacklisted. Series Overview In the hyper-competitive underbelly of Los Angeles, five struggling stand-up comedians experience every artist’s worst nightmare: their bookings completely vanish overnight. Paranoia quickly sets in as they begin to suffer from The Truman Show Delusion (TSD), firmly believing that their careers are being sabotaged by an invisible, malicious media consortium. The Setup Left completely broke and stranded on the streets of L.A., the comics receive a mysterious lifeline from an aggressive TV production company.<p/> The network offers them free housing and a stage at a local homeless center. The catch? They must agree to have their daily lives filmed and broadcast around the clock. The Conflict Unbeknownst to the comedians, the network is masterfully orchestrating their reality, deliberately placing hurdles and psychological triggers in their path to drive up ratings. Armed only with their smartphones, the five comics form a chaotic bond and launch a rogue investigation through the city to unmask the corporate masterminds behind their downfall. What follows is a 30-day, uncut descent into madness, shameless comedic tirades, and deep-seated paranoia—all edited and aired to a fascinated public the very next day.
POSSIBLE INDIA-MUMBAY VERSION:
Adapting "The Truman Show Delusion" to the Indian entertainment ecosystem could enhance the project: Mumbai's paparazzi culture is intensely aggressive. Having "moles" or fake photographers follow the comics would feel incredibly realistic to them. The Reality TV Obsession: Indian audiences love high-drama reality television (such as Bigg Boss or Lock Upp). A show that masterfully manipulates contestants for high ratings perfectly mirrors this market. Grounding the "No Gigs" Premise. The Gatekeeper System: In India, a few major comedy hubs and agencies control who gets the prime club spots and corporate shows. The "Blacklist" Fear: If five comedians suddenly get zero gigs, it is deeply believable that they would suspect an "evil consortium" or an industry tycoon is taking revenge on them. Setting the Homeless Centre. The Contrast: Moving the setting from the streets of L.A. to a temporary shelter or communal chawl setup in Mumbai amplifies the dramatic tension. The Comedic Relief:
The comedians trying to perform stand-up in an intensely crowded, high-stress Mumbai environment provides a great backdrop for raw, uncut tirades.

Thanks for rating, Michael, it mysteriously disappeared, so I uploaded the unscripted reality show again.
