A cowhand and a female sheriff's deputy are brought together in a series of circumstances following a drug deal in the desert that goes bad. Amid a rash of violent killings by two cartel gunmen, the pair discover corruption and complicity in the local sheriff's office and help pursue the killers onto an Indian reservation in southern Arizona.
