GENRE: Drama, Crime
LOGLINE:

Recruited into a clandestine faction of the FBI, a team of flawed investigators is tasked with solving Los Angeles' most terrifying paranormal crimes. To survive the darkness lurking beneath the city, they must first conquer their deepest inner demons and learn to work as a cohesive unit.

SYNOPSIS:

The Classifieds operates in a shadow-drenched, high-contrast world of modern neo-noir. Think the clinical, cold forensic realism of Mindhunter colliding with the cosmic horror of The X-Files. The setting is a grit-and-neon Los Angeles where luxury high-rises overlook dark alleys harboring ancient cults and alien predators. There are no clean endings; every victory requires a piece of the investigators' souls.

The public believes the FBI handles the human elements of crime. But when a homicide scene features a body molecularly fused to a wall, or a tech executive is exsanguinated via ritualistic witchcraft, standard forensics hit a dead end. The digital servers are scrubbed, and the case file is designated CLASSIFIED.

This unit doesn’t just hunt monsters; they bring them to justice. They treat the supernatural as a criminal enterprise. They process paranormal crime scenes for trace evidence, profile extraterrestrial predators, map out the financial networks of ancient occult cults, and build airtight legal cases to lock away or eliminate entities that threaten the status quo.

The unit is comprised of five profoundly damaged individuals. They are not heroes; they are survivors weaponized by the government, bound together by mutual trauma and a desperate need for answers.
