GENRE: Family
LOGLINE:

A park ranger with ancestral ties to the Ahwahneechee tribe must defend Yosemite Valley's sacred sites from a ruthless corporate entity intent on exploiting the land's supernatural power.

SYNOPSIS:

In the breathtaking expanse of Yosemite Valley, a park ranger named Lena Walker discovers that the land she protects is alive with ancient spirits and deep-rooted history. As she navigates her duties, Lena encounters a corporate threat in the form of Verity Energy, led by the arrogant Marcus Hale, who seeks to exploit the valley's resources. When Lena stands up against Marcus and his team, tensions rise, leading to a confrontation that reveals the valley's spiritual guardians—the Ahwahneechee spirits—who have protected the land for centuries. Lena's journey is intertwined with her family's legacy, as she uncovers her ancestor Ethan Walker's journal, which contains secrets about the valley's past and its guardianship. Through flashbacks, we learn about Ethan's connection to Kali, an Ahwahneechee warrior who fought to protect the valley from invaders in the 1850s. As Lena delves deeper into her heritage, she realizes that she is destined to become the valley's new protector, just as Kali once was. The stakes escalate when Lena discovers ancient stone carvings that warn of a great danger. With the help of her colleague Sammy Blackwood, she embarks on a quest to uncover the valley's heart, a sacred site that holds immense power. As they race against time to thwart Verity Energy's plans, Lena and Sammy face supernatural forces that test their resolve and commitment to the land. As the conflict intensifies, Lena invokes the spirits of the valley, who rise to defend their home against the encroaching threat. In a climactic showdown, Lena must confront Marcus and his team, using her newfound powers and the support of the Ahwahneechee spirits to protect the valley. The battle culminates in a powerful display of nature's fury, as the valley itself fights back against those who seek to exploit it. In the aftermath, Lena emerges as a true guardian, having forged a bond with the valley and its spirits. With the support of the government, she secures protections for Yosemite, ensuring that its cultural and spiritual significance is honored. The film concludes with Lena standing on a ridge, watching over the valley, knowing that her journey as its protector has only just begun. The spirits of the Ahwahneechee watch over her, a reminder of the legacy she carries and the responsibility she embraces.

Great job on the logline, Joseph Murkijanian! The "a ruthless corporate entity intent on exploiting the land's supernatural power" really caught my attention. I think it's going to make your movie stand out.

The only suggestion I have is add an adjective for the protagonist (the main flaw she has to overcome in the script or an adjective that describes her personality). It'll give us more insight into her character.
