REPO MY JET

REPO MY JET
By Joseph Murkijanian

GENRE: Action, Comedy
LOGLINE:

When a broke aircraft repossessor steals a defaulted 747, he finds ten tons of cartel cocaine and a kidnapped accountant already aboard. Framed as the smuggler, bleeding fuel and hydraulics, he and his rule-obsessed bank auditor have one move left: land somewhere too public for anyone -- cartel or government -- to make them disappear.

SYNOPSIS:

Days before Mack’s insurance expires and his business collapses, leasing representative Celia Brandt offers him half a million dollars to repossess a defaulted 747 freighter from a Caribbean airfield before midnight. Mack accepts despite Elliot’s objections. Joined by veteran copilot Dale Rusk, they steal the aircraft under gunfire.

At altitude, Elliot investigates a smoke alarm, breaks a diplomatic seal and discovers ten tons of cocaine—and Elena Cruz, the cartel’s kidnapped financial architect, drugged inside a medical pod. Victor Sanz, a sophisticated cartel strategist, deliberately defaulted on the aircraft and engineered the repossession. Mack and Elliot were selected to become visible, disposable smugglers while Victor remained invisible.

Victor offers them millions to land at a private Louisiana field, while fabricated evidence identifies Mack as the trafficking operation’s architect. Mack realizes the field is an execution site and attempts to escape, but Dale reveals himself as Victor’s inside man and pulls a gun. Elliot brings him down with his metal document case as Mack claws the crippled 747 back into the air.

With fuel vanishing, two hydraulic systems failing and corrupt federal agents directing them toward another trap, Elliot proposes the one strategy Victor cannot control: land at Miami International in front of thousands of witnesses. Victor offers to restore Mack’s ruined name if he surrenders Elena. Mack appears to accept, then turns toward Miami, sacrificing his reputation and the rule governing his life: the aircraft always comes first.

Elena broadcasts Victor’s financial ledger over an open aviation frequency. During the landing, the right gear collapses and the 747 slides toward emergency crews. Elliot orders Mack to “damage the asset.” Mack destroys the engines and saves the people in its path.

Victor arrives under a false federal quarantine. The crew opens the cargo door, sending ten tons of cocaine cascading onto the runway beneath news helicopters. Victor tries to escape in his Gulfstream—until Elliot discovers its lease is also in default and legally repossesses it before takeoff.

Weeks later, Elliot joins Mercer Asset Recovery as its compliance officer. When a new client needs a jet recovered from an untouchable ex-husband in Dubai, Mack hands Elliot the checklist and takes off—ready for the next impossible recovery.
