 BULLET TRAIN TO NOWHERE

BULLET TRAIN TO NOWHERE
By Joseph Murkijanian

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Action
LOGLINE:

A burned operative and the estranged teenage son he barely knows must fight through a hijacked bullet train to stop a former ally from releasing a bioweapon on San Francisco — while the man trying to kill them systematically dismantles every lie the father has told himself about who he is.

SYNOPSIS:

When retired operative ETHAN VALE boards a California high-speed train with his estranged seventeen-year-old son NOAH for what was supposed to be a day trip toward something resembling a relationship, he recognizes the signs of an organized takeover before the first shot is fired. Within minutes, the train is hijacked, the brakes are trapped, and a bioweapon pod is mounted beneath the passenger cars — rigged to release if the train stops or reaches the San Francisco terminal. The man behind it is MARCUS KESSLER, a former ally Ethan was told died on an extraction field twelve years ago. He didn't. And he's spent every year since building a case — and a weapon — around the one man who left him behind. With federal command threatening a forced stop that would kill everyone aboard, Ethan and Noah fight car by car through a gauntlet of operatives, drones, and a train that has been turned into a sealed, moving kill zone — the only two people on board with the specific combination of skills to stop it: Ethan's trained violence, and Noah's extraordinary ability to read and rewrite the systems controlling everything.

What Kessler wants isn't a body count — it's a witness and a reckoning. He has spent twelve years compiling evidence that the intelligence framework behind Ethan's operation pre-authorized its own people as expendable, and the train is his mechanism for forcing that truth into the open through a federal investigation that can't be quietly managed. Noah — the kid his father never showed up for, who knows Ethan's coffee order from eight years of watching a man who never noticed — becomes the one person capable of taking Kessler's architecture apart and handing it back to him with a different ending. Not by fighting. By giving a man who was never given a choice the chance to make one. By the time the forward section screams into an emergency arrest spur in the California industrial corridor, three men have survived the wreck of what Ethan built his life around — and a city that never knew how close it came stands in the late afternoon light, intact, unaware, going about its day.
