SYNOPSIS:

Life seems great for Amelia as she has just been promoted to detective. She married a charming, good looking and supportive husband, and now they’re trying for a baby. However, her mother, Amy, is being released from the psychiatric hospital and will stay with the newlyweds for a certain period of time even though the mother and daughter have a rocky relationships. Amelia suffers from PTSD, and although she takes on her first case that deals with a missing teen, it hits too close to home. When she was a child, she killed her grandmother during a physical altercation between the grandmother and her mother, Amy, who was being beat my her own mother. Amelia soon discovers that her grandmother was trying to protect Amelia from the men Amy brought around. Men who abused Amelia. As said before, this hits close to home as the missing teen, Anne, was also abused by someone close to her. Amelia must somehow battle her PTSD and overcome the turbulent relationship with her mother all while trying to find a missing teen and quite possibly before it becomes too late.
