When a wanna be buppie’s madcap attempt to climb the corporate ladder goes awry he finds himself in the midst of a labor dispute and discovers that the grass ain’t greener on the other side after all.

SYNOPSIS:

Cordell Wright, a wanna be buppie attempts to climb the corporate ladder but struggles in the management trainee program at the giant east coast conglomerate Cornucopia, and after an interview during a protest with Bonita Ruiz, an investigative news reporter goes awry he finds his self in the midst of a labor dispute. The head of Cornucopia's security, Thomas Gant who through some craftiness of his own convinces the company that this new Cordell situation can be resolved if they offer him the newly created position of spokesman for a new line of coffee in a neighboring county. Cordell accepts the position to the dismay of his girlfriend Mavis, who views this as another attempt by Cordell to delay their marriage. What Cordell doesn’t know is that this job opportunity becomes a madcap rite of passage to rediscovering his true identity that somehow got lost in the chaos of his blind ambition to succeed.
