Feedback From Final Draft 2025: Frankly, I wasn't expecting such a heartfelt, message-oriented film, going just by the logline.

You’re saying something quietly profound about value—what it means to feel seen, to matter, to

be worth something in a world that’s constantly shifting toward the new. I think it's safe to say that

we all have a little bit of Peter in us, and that's what naturally gravitates us toward him. Be it

Crabby’s bitterness, or Peter’s naive optimism, and even Penelope’s loyalty—they’re, in more ways

than one, reflections of the different ways we cope with irrelevance or being overlooked. The fact

that the characters are pennies—literal loose change—feels like a smart metaphor for how

disposable people can feel, especially the old, the odd, the forgotten. And then you place them in

this tiny ecosystem of Mateo’s change jar, which becomes this warm, communal refuge—an

accidental family formed out of neglect, and somehow that ends up being more valuable than the

world outside. You’re telling kids (and maybe us adults too) that value isn't given, it’s found—in

connection. Absolutely amazing!
