SYNOPSIS:

This high-energy action/comedy explores the enduring power of friends and family in an up-to-date, buddy/best friends escapade that highlights the Black community with enduring charm and humour.  (similar to Central Intelligence and Rush Hour) Why now? Today's economy is fully dependant on rare earths and critical minerals -- they're essential for all cell phones, data centres, electric vehicles, wind turbines, rechargeable batteries and LEDs. Our hero, BRAYLEN KENDRICK, 42, is a gutsy, fiercely loyal, intense Black man who is an undeniably handsome single Dad.  He’s been betrayed by a broken marriage, furloughed by the military and fighting like hell to be a great Dad - yes, he lacks confidence. BEYONCE KENDRICK, 18, is Braylen's daughter and the joy of his life.  She's full of energy but still young and somewhat immature. But Braylen’s heart knows family, friends and truth always come first and will be there in his time of need. Sadly, Braylen’s PARENTS are murdered when they uncover a diabolical smuggling operation. It's murder to look like suicide, so cops do nothing...  . Braylen’s best buddy is ALIE FARNELL, 33, a wild n crazy, slightly overweight, red wine aficionado who simmers sunshine onto a feisty personality as she high-tails into any situation with plenty of sass. The story's antagonist, SHERMAN BLANKOFF, 38, makes millions of dollars by illegally transporting rare earths and cobalt from Canada into the US.   With gold teeth, rippling muscles and 22K gold chains that glisten against a powerful, Black muscular, evil body, Sherman boasts: "I own this entire coastline Comrade. Big Tech are like rabid animals trying to bite each other's legs off for my smuggled cobalt. Me and Elon Musk are gonna be best buds."  Dedicated to finding the killers and protecting their world, our two best Buddies, Braylen and Alie, fight the Smugglers' twisted vision as EV clients are murdered, millions of dollars go missing and Braylen's beloved daughter Beyonce is kidnapped! Family bonds are confronted as Braylen tackles his insecurities and long-held fears but eventually Braylen transitions into a confident, hard ass, give 'em shit compassionate Commando. Braylen's highly entertaining but effective RELATIVES from Atlanta fight the Smugglers in a climactic battle to the finish! It takes a good old fashioned whack to the head with a cast iron fry pan, a blow  to the gonads by 2 by 4’s, a distraction by a flash of big boobs and Beyonce is saved!!  (fight scenes with roundhouses to the temple; side kicks to the jaw; knee drops to the gonads with a smattering of .357’s, helicopters roaring above and bad ass water implosions all do their part)  Family secrets reveal Sherman Blankoff is Braylen's biological brother left behind in Atlanta as a baby, due to government regulations. He dies in Braylen’s arms. Ha Ha  As a reward for safeguarding the EV industry, an Elon Musk (look-alike) flies to earth on a Jet Pack and presents Braylen with a Tesla Model S.  We learn compassionate families can thrive despite a haunting, difficult past.  This screenplay won Honourable Mention at the Big Apple Film Festival, 2023.
