SYNOPSIS:
Amanda Bright is a cynical, no-nonsense, drinking and smoking best selling author who hasn’t had a date since she and her girlfriend broke up six months ago. She sees no prospects in the near future. It may seem whimsically impetuous, her decision to quit her bad habits and have a baby, but it turns out to be a decade old promise she and her best friend, Gianni, are keeping to one another: if they hadn’t found their true loves by their thirties, they’d have a baby together. Almost as soon as Gianni, now aka drag queen Candy Yams, proves a worthy sperm donor, Amanda meets entertainment attorney Samantha Post, who just might be the woman of her dreams. Amanda and Samantha trade lots of 'tude on their first and second encounters, but their sexual attraction refuses to be ignored. Despite reservations (Amanda doesn’t think someone in her condition should be dating, although Samantha seems unfazed by the condition), they make reservations for a romantic first dinner date. Things go well enough for more romantic dates, then some hot sex, some more dates, and some more hot sex. But Amanda has been here before and knows that just when things get comfortable is when ex-girlfriends and families show up to ruin everything. Fortunately, the star-crossed lovers’ interfering friends are persistent. With some crafty intervention, they make sure that the pregnant girl who meets girl, gets girl, and loses girl, gets girl back shortly before her bundle of joy arrives three weeks early.
