It seems you are saying: A father betrays a demon and murders the brother of a programmer. The demon tries to kill the father, his family and aquaintances. The programmer vows revenge against the entire family. What happens if the demon or the programmer fails? Why is it important for them to win? Is the story just about vengence?

The horror genre tells about unfairly cruel retribution for a crime or mistake. so, yes, it's all about revenge and the hero's goal is to survive in these circumstances.

I'd pare it down. It's also a bit unclear. But my take:
"A programmer plans to avenge her brother's death but finds herself evading with an evil diety."
